The Corteolona incinerator gets the go-ahead: the Italian Council of State has found in favour of the arguments submitted by A2A Ambiente S.p.A., advised by Fabio Todarello and Alice Colleoni of Todarello & Partners.
This confirmed the approval of the EIA of the “new, larger incinerator for non-hazardous special waste”, which will lead to the decommissioning of the existing plant at the Corteolona Integrated Waste Treatment Centre. In its authorisation for the construction of the new incinerator, the Council of State also confirmed that the “environmental impact assessments effectively considered also the projects’ cumulative impact”.
